Jetstar passenger rushed to hospital with burns after spilling COFFEE on herself during a flight

wo passengers were hurt after spilling coffee on themselves when a Jetstar flight experienced turbulence.

Emergency services treated the pair after flight JQ430 from Melbourne landed at Gold Coast Airport at 8.12am on Wednesday morning.

One person who sustained minor injuries was treated on arrival and went home.

A woman was taken to hospital in an ambulance for further treatment.

A Jetstar spokesman confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that the two injured passengers were hurt after spilling the hot beverages on themselves during some turbulence.

‘Two passengers on a Melbourne to Gold Coast flight accidentally spilled some coffee on themselves following some mild turbulence,’ he said.

‘Our crew assisted on board, and one of the customers was met by paramedics on arrival for further assessment.’

Channel Seven had reported earlier on Wednesday morning that emergency crews were responding to an explosion or fire at the airport.

This report was quickly refuted by airport officials.
